Friday Finds 5/20/11 (And my blurb on Pinterest)

Pinterest has saved my life! Ok, not really but it has definitely helped me get somewhat more organized. Let me explain.

Before Pinterest I would have a bajillion tabs left open so that I could remember all of the items that I had found while blog searching and wanted to remember. It was a mess. I then tried saving the pictures to my desktop along with the website. That just took way too long. Then I was introduced to Pinterest by my friend Megan (thanks girl)! I'm sure everyone's heard of this site but if you haven't, you NEED to check it out, start your own board, and then share your board with ME! :)

Friday Finds 4/8/11

Sorry for the delay! We had a pretty hectic day and I didn't have my post finalized. It was very difficult for me to narrow down my favorite finds from the week but I managed to do so. Here they are!

I've always wanted to learn how to make chocolate molten lava cake and Chelsea shows you how over on I'm Topsy Turvy! Nick is excited for these, that's for sure! :)

Are these not the most amazing paper flowers ever??? I even have this Stampin' Up! die! I'm really excited to create them myself! Check out Stampin' N Stuff for the tutorial!

I'm totally loving these paper mache eggs from A Little Tipsy. You can find the directions on how to make these over there!

These sponge balls are genius! How easy would they be to make?? Better yet, how fun would they be to throw??? :) Check out One Charming Party to see how they were created!

I love this faux necklace shirt that Kelly made over on Living Craftily Ever After. I'm thinking that some of Addison's boring white onesies would look really cute with some faux necklaces painted on them! :)

This gorgeous Easter printable can be found over on Ladybird Ln. I already have it printed and am waiting to put it in the frame and hang it somewhere! :)

Want to learn how to sew? Kim from Retro Mama is giving tutorials over on Craft Snob and she shows you how to create these adorable coasters! I'm thinking that I could really go for an easy sewing project this week! I'm definitely going to be making some for our living room!

I don't know what it is about these prints but I saw them and fell in love! To make it even better, Disney from Ruffles and Stuff has created her own and shared how she did it with her readers! I've already purchased an old dictionary so I can make my own!

This photo and memo display from Shanty 2 Chic is so cute! I'm definitely going to have to try and create one similar since we have so many scraps of wood laying around in my husbands workshop (aka: our garage)!

Friday Finds 4/1/11

I want to start my Friday Finds posts back up because I seriously stumble across some of the coolest stuff as I peruse through my favorite blogs and I really enjoy sharing them with others! However, I am going to try to keep it limited to my top 10 favorite finds because otherwise it can get a little out of hand!

So in no particular order, here are some of my favorite finds from this week!

This amazing plaque was made by Trina over at "A Love to Create". She gives a fantastic step-by-step tutorial on how to create your own plaque.

I desperately need to recover my throw pillows and when I saw this tutorial from "Cottage Magpie" on how to sew throw pillow covers I was in heaven! How gorgeous is that cover???

I have to try making one of these car seat tents for Addison's car seat! A blanket just doesn't seem to cut it sometimes! "Infarrantly Creative" gives a wonderful tutorial on how you can make your own!

This is a project that I truly enjoy as a previous teacher. It is something that would be fun to do not only with your own children but with your students as well! It's a Spring Scavenger Hunt kit and the idea comes from "I am Momma Hear Me Roar".

I love all of the fun starburst mirrors that have been popping up all over blog land but this particular one really caught my attention! I have been looking for the perfect clock for our dining room and I think I could probably recreate this into a really neat clock! Check out the tutorial over at "Flamingo Toes".

While I don't currently (hopefully someday) have my own iPad, my sweet momma does and I think this iPad case would be perfect for her! How stylish would she look carrying around her iPad in a case like this??? Melissa at "The Polka Dot Chair" shows how to make this adorable case!

Funky Junk Interiors has been one of my favorite blogs for quite some time now and when I saw this adorable sign that she made the other day, I just knew I had to share it with you! If you are curious to how she made it, make sure to stop by her blog!

I have been looking for ideas on how to store our dog food and when I saw this tutorial, I knew it was perfect! I definitely wouldn't mind keeping a cool looking can like this in my house! Stop by "Inspiring Creativeness" to see how Suz made hers!

As I was searching the web for Easter basket ideas for Addison this year, I stumbled upon this fun little idea from Twig & Thistle! There you can find the pattern and tutorial for how to create your own little Easter basket like it!

AmberLee from "Giver's Log" is trying a new type of mail packaging, Easter eggs! I am so excited to hear if they are able to mail without complications because I think these would be perfect to send to our nieces and nephews back in Iowa!

Friday Finds

This quilt is absolutely beautiful! Jennifer Blosser gives step-by-step instructions on how to create one yourself! Check it out!

I love this Crochet Clutch! It is the perfect thing to hold all of the fantastic crochet tools and accessories! This just jumped to the top of my to-do list!

I totally have one of these buckets laying around my house but I never would have thought to use it as a planter! What a genius idea! It's one I am definitely going to use!

This is something that would come in VERY handy in my laundry room! We are always finding unmatched socks in our laundry pile! :)

I love the idea of making my own laundry detergent. I think I may try this...SOMEDAY! :)

If I ever have a daughter (which hopefully I do), I will definitely be making one of these for her! :D How adorable! You can find the tutorial for it here.

Reece's Peanut Butter Cups are one of my favorite treats so why wouldn't I want to learn how to make my own???? YUM!

I am humbly admitting that I have never made a cheesecake but after seeing this recipe, it's next on my to bake list! :D Nick will be SO pleased!

I also plan on trying out this yummy rhubarb pie recipe! Mmm!

Aren't these little Crinkle Robots fun? You can make them yourself. Prudent Baby gives step-by-step instructions for them!

I LOVE this pacifier holder! How cute and convenient. There is no need to worry about losing that pacifier now!

Now for my favorite find of the week! :D Check out this stinkin' adorable bunny hat! AAAGH! I know Easter is over but it's never too late to make one of these!
